Editing Services
We have several digital edit systems: one is set up for use with programs that
are primarily shot in analog video formats such as Betacam-SP while
the others are designed for digital tape sources such as DV-CAM or mini
DV. Our primary editor, Rick Boardman, has been editing audio, film
and video since 1971, so he's developed a feel for what works and
what doesn't.
Both systems allow numerous elements to be mixed in, such as still
photos, photos with screen motion, animated graphic sequences, musical
score, sound effects and narration. We offer professional voice-overs
for programs we produce or for productions made elsewhere. We have
a number of fine voices to choose from, but we can also use someone
suggested by you. Our editors combine all these elements to make a
compact and engaging presentation. We always prepare an initial rough
cut edit which we discuss with the client to ensure we are on the
right track. Then we polish it up for mastering on any video format
or to DVD. Copies can be struck from this master in any format (VHS,
DVD, CD-ROM, DV, Quicktime Movie, etc.)
Also in our editing suites we can take other media such as PowerPoint
presentations and convert them for use as an interactive CD-ROM or
convert them to video. In addition to editing the programs we write
and produce, we offer editing-only services to video producers, other
institutions and consumers alike.
